The workshop will cover RFP research as related to:
- Advancing the RFP as a high beta magnetic fusion configuration, with low external magnetization requirements
- Advancing the development of predictive toroidal magnetic confinement physics and fusion technology, exploiting synergies with tokamak and stellarator magnetic confinement
- Advancing basic plasma physics and laboratory connections to astrophysics
The workshop will be held on the campus of the University of Wisconsin-Madison. October is a pleasant season in Madison, and workshop attendees will enjoy the vibrant campus life, comfortable weather, colorful foliage, and beautiful lake settings characteristic of the fall season.
